The trailers are arranged in a "wagonwheel" formation. The campfire is at the hub of the wagon wheel and is a gathering place (see picture below). The buildings in the background are where dinner and breakfast are served. The site is very rural and while you are staying there you can forget that you are very close to Washington D.C.. It is a 20 minute drive to the subway station from Roger's Farm and is the best way to get to the city.
This is the building that we have used for breakfast and dinner. The barn used to be an old tobacco barn. It has a good roof just in case it is raining, but there is no heat.
The campfire at the hub of the wagon wheel is a gathering place during the day and night. The temperature in the beginning of April can be quite cold, so bring warm clothes! It was 25 degrees one morning.
Sometimes you need a big fire and a lot of blankets to stay warm around the campfire at the Cherry Blossom Rally!
The blossoms in Washington D.C. are most often at their peak during the WDCU Cherry Blossom Rally. Of course, there is a lot to see in Washington D.C., indoors and outdoors, so you can have a good time rain or shine.
Come and Enjoy!
