Hello again all WDCUers and friends,
This "newsletter" posting is coming on the heels of last weeks newsletter with a special announcement. The WBCCI Washington DC Unit is proud to announce the Kick-off Dinner of it's European Division. Appointed WDCU European Division Chair Anthony Slocock has put together the following program for the evening of July 22, 2000:
Meet 6.30 pm -8.30 pm at: The Westbourne Public House, 101 Westbourne Park Villas, London, W2 Directions: Corner of Westbourne Park Road and Westbourne Park Villas, just South of the Westway (A40), walking distance from Paddington BR railway station. Dinner: 8.30-10.30 pm at: Bali Sugar, 330 All Saints Road, W11, table outside in the rear garden weather permitting.
Point of Contact is Anthony Slocock (aslocock@globalnet.co.uk). All WBCCI members as well as VAC members and friends are invited to attend.
We realize that this date is rather sudden (and thus will not be in the Blue Beret) but we are hopeful that this endeavor will provide us with some insight into the level of interest of Airstreaming in Europe. WDCU Charter Member Anthony Slocock is presently our lone EU member but has plans to bring the Wally Byam Way of Life over to his homeland in an effort to expand our mutual interests. We expect that we will be able to arrange actual Rallies (with actual Airstreams) around Europe in the future so this is just our first start.
