Past Activities

• We installed our officers at the 2nd annual VAC Northeast Gathering and Washington, DC Inaugural Rally, November 4 - 7, 1999.
• The Cherry Blossom Rally, RFK Stadium, Washington, DC 6-9 April 2000. The rally was the subject of a feature article in the Washington Post on April 12. We have pictures from Linda and Wayne Moore (Lots of thumbnails - may be slow) and an account of the rally from Bill Scott. Walt and Marilyn Sandy of the SW NJ Unit sent this story about the rally to their newsletter.
• The Region 2 Rally, May 25th to 29th, 2000 was held at the Kutztown Fairgrounds in Kutztown, PA. This Rally featured special VAC parking and an Open House. A further report will be forthcomming.
• The WBCCI Washington DC Unit is happy to report on the Kick-off Dinner of it's European Division. Appointed WDCU European Division Chair Anthony Slocock put together a fine program for the evening of July 22, 2000. Anthony's report appears here.
• Joint Rally with PA Unit was held Aug. 4th to 6th, 2000, at the Penn Wood Airstream Park, Limestone, PA. Accounts by Linda Moore and Sabina Freeman can be found here.
• Newport News Folklife Festival & Installation Rally was held Oct. 6 to 9th, 2000 at the Newport News Community Park in Newport News, VA.
• Joint Rally with Vintage IntraClub Northeast Gathering was held Nov. 2nd to the 5th, 2000 at the KOA @ Harper's Ferry in WV. Many thanks to our hosts, John Gilliland and Harley Muse. For a schedule of events, look here. Thanks to Linda Moore, we have pictures.
• The 2001 Cherry Blossom Rally, was held April 5 - April 8 at the Rogers farm in Upper Marlboro, Md. The schedule for the rally is here.
• The Moores hosted the "Mount Washington" Rally (MWR) August 9-12, 2001 at a campground in the beautiful Mount Washington Valley in North Conway, New Hampshire. This rally will also serve as the WDCU annual business meeting. See the announcement or contact Linda or Wayne Moore for further information. The registration form is now available and we are able to accept email registration and on line credit card payments.
• The Washington DC Unit sponsored joint rally October 25-28 with the Vintage Airstream Club (VAC) was also our Installation rally. This 4th Northeast VAC Gathering was held in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware at the 3 Seasons RV Resort.

DC Unit members may be interested in WBCCI Region 2 and VAC activities which appear on the referenced sites, as well.
