Refugee Links


CMAA provides on-going basic ESL instruction to adult refugees 18 years and older. The program is funded through Refugee Social Service funds administered through the Franklin County Department of Jobs and Family Services (FCDJFS). A special grant from The Literacy Initiative gives additional program support. The focus is primarily on verbal and written survival skills needed to function in the workplace and in the community at large. Classes are provided at two locations:

Rhema Center
2116 Agler Road
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Monday-Friday
First Congregational Church
444 E. Broad Street
5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
4 days/week
ESL class ESL class


Refugees wishing to enroll should call CMAA at 224-8888, or bring their I-94 or green card to the main office for registration and placement.
